„Don’t do any harm, what if there’s no God who can forgive you.” (Szép Ernő)

Mag and Maureen. Mother and daughter. A woman and a spinster in her forties. Somewhere in Ireland, or perhaps anywhere, near, or even beyond the edges of the world. Where everyone leaves to England, America, or wherever.

Here any hope of love or human connection could jeopardise the hate-filled, fatal loneliness of mother and daughter’s togetherness. Here, life-changing messages and letters die. Meanwhile, the TV is on. And behind the walls is the morbid excitement of a barren, uneventful vegetation. And then the cruelty of tragedy. Two lives forever intertwined. Barriers to each other, yet they cannot exist without each other. So what then?
